A few nights ago I was awoken at 3am to the Lord almost yelling at me over and over “INJUSTICE, INJUSTICE, INJUSTICE! THIS ISSUE IS ABOUT INJUSTICE. ALL LIVES DON’T MATTER BECAUSE MY BLACK LIVES DON’T MATTER. ALL LIVES CAN’T MATTER UNTIL MY BLACK LIVES MATTER. ALL LIVES WON’T MATTER UNTIL MY BLACK LIVES DO MATTER. ALL LIVES WILL NEVER MATTER UNTIL MY BLACK LIVES MATTER. INJUSTICE INJUSTICE INJUSTICE! THIS IS ABOUT INJUSTICE!”
I have honestly never heard the Lord’s voice in such a powerful and stern manner. I’ve never experienced anything so clearly at night before. I wasn’t dreaming, I wasn’t asleep, I was fully woken up in an instant, and not in a usual groggy, half asleep state of been woken from a deep sleep, but I was FULLY AWAKE, ALERT and could hear His words so clearly and loudly repeating over and over again.
I then immediately fell into a deep sleep where I had very real and significant dream, a nightmare almost. In the dream it was night time and we were out at my parents farm with a whole heap of people – there were hundreds of people everywhere. The farm was also a zoo and there were animals like gorillas, elephants and giraffes on the eastern fields of the farm house. There were families everywhere and kids everywhere and my kids were happily playing with all the other children. I went inside the house to quickly check up on my four kids, I found three of my children but I realised I couldn’t find Ophelia, my youngest toddler. I quickly searched the whole house, to see if she was hiding anywhere, I asked the other kids if they had seen her but no one had seen her for ages. I started to panic and realise she must be outside. My first thought was that the zoo animals would kill her. I was in a huge panic now and everyone was looking for her. It was night time and it was hard to see, I knew this would make it difficult to find her. Suddenly there were search helicopters in the sky, on the south field, shining down bright lights, searching for her everywhere. Someone very close to me in real life kept saying “Don’t worry about it, go to bed, we will find her in the morning, it’s too dark, we can’t find her at night, all this noise would be scaring her away anyway.” I couldn’t believe they would say that, and particularly them of all people. We searched and searched everywhere, I was starting to give up, thinking she was gone forever. I could physically feel the panic, anxiety, fear and dread in my body as I slept, as though I had truly lost my child. I had a sense of knowing within the dream that we were only going to search as far as the back fence of the farm, and if we didn’t find her then the search would have to stop, because any further than that she would definitely be lost for ever. The feeling was that if she wasn’t found in the parameters of the farm, that she would have most likely drowned in a dam or something dangerous outside the property. As we were drawing closer to the end of the property we walked through the gate of the final fence and my cousin suddenly appeared behind us, walking through the gate, bringing Ophelia through to me and said she had found her at the shops. We were all shocked that that was where she was found because there was no way she could have got there and we weren’t even looking there and it was so unexpected. I grabbed her and squeezed her so hard and burst into tears of relief. I felt so much relief, restoration, joy, comfort and hope at her being found. I thought she was lost forever but now I was unexpectedly holding my baby girl in my arms again. It was the same intensity of feelings of joy at her finding as it was the intense feelings of grief of her loss.
The next morning as I was processing this dream through prayer and journalling, God showed me that this dream represents the story of the lost sheep. Ophelia is my youngest, most vulnerable, weakest, most easily abused, lead astray, can’t help herself, can’t save herself, child. He showed me that the intensity of my physical feelings and emotions of her being lost and the relief and joy I felt when she was the found was the empathic, deep affection of how He also feels about His lost children. The person who kept saying ‘just wait until the morning to look for her’ represents complacency, apathy and slumber within the Church, but the scary thing is that who this person is in real life is the the last person I would expect to be so complacent in a situation like this. In fact, in real life I believe this person would be the only one who would search for my lost child to the extent my husband and I would. This person represents those within the Church who are the LEAST EXPECTED to be complacent and partner with spiritual slumber instead of staying alert and awake at such an urgent hour.
“This person represents those within the Church who are the LEAST EXPECTED to be complacent and partner with spiritual slumber instead of staying alert and awake at such an urgent hour.”
I believe the farm represents the Kingdom of God. The fence represents boundaries and borders or the Kingdom, placed there for our protection, security and safety. The gate represents Jesus – the way. In the dream, the sense of going beyond the border held a knowing that she would definitely be lost forever. Night time represents the deception of this time we are in, unclear, can’t see properly, makes it hard to discern, stumbling in the dark, darkness, evil, secret or hidden, under the cover of darkness etc.
Helicopters represent search and rescue, ministry of salvation, prophetic ministries etc – they ascend quickly – they came quickly in the dream, immediately. Prophetically, zoo’s represent a mix of types and races. Gorilla’s represent strongholds, defiant, strong personalities, strongholds of influence and strength. Giraffes represent pride and self importance. Elephants represent God Almighty, Christ, powerful and prophetic ministries and big issues.
Getting to the border of the property and the feeling that this was the ‘last chance’ before she’s gone forever represents those who are at risk of falling away in this hour. This is an hour of urgency. This is an alarm being sounded for people to awaken from the slumber and from the deception that is rife in the world and the Church right now. It’s an urgency to have our eyes opened to the truth. Ophelia being found at the shops represents the unexpected – we weren’t even looking there, we would never have guessed to look at there, it was so left of field. My cousin who found her and brought her to us through the gate – her name literally means “spotless and pure” – this represents the true Bride, the remnant, those in this hour who are recognising and finding things in unexpected places, in contrast to those in the Church who don’t recognise the moves of God at this time because they’re so caught in religion and in slumber etc and don’t have eyes to see. They are complacent in the hour of urgency. It’s so dangerous now to allow ourselves to go back to sleep spiritually, we must stay awake, we must feel the prodding and promptings of the Holy Spirit urging us to stay awake and not fall to the deception of the dark night around us.
“This is an hour of urgency. This is an alarm being sounded for people to awaken from the slumber and from the deception that is rife in the world and the Church right now.”
As I sat with the Lord asking Him to show me how the dream and the ‘injustice’ heralding I heard fit together, He led me on a journey of empathy, deeper understanding and eye-opening visions. The key that He revealed to me is that there is an urgency in this hour to not be complacent. The ‘all lives matter’ statement – as well intentioned as it may be – is an injustice to His people, plans and purposes and it is an attempt to keep people deceived, because while we focus on ‘all’ lives, we are disregarding the black lives that need His divine justice at this time. This is not a political agenda – it is spiritual. I am more than aware of agencies at work and other worldly agendas behind the ‘black lives matter’ move, but we create our own agenda when we take what the enemy intends for harm and use it for good. Just because a move of justice originates from a worldly – evil even – source, does not mean that we cannot take hold of the truth within it and turn it around for the good and glory of God and for a Kingdom purpose instead of a worldly agenda. God is trying to do a move – to bring justice – but some of His very own people are the ones who are holding Him back. It appears virtuous, appears loving, appears inclusive, appears Biblical, but at the core of it it is hiding the real issue at hand – injustice. It’s a religious facade, a distraction, deception and attempt to keep eyes closed to the truth and His move of divine power and intervention.
“It appears virtuous, appears loving, appears inclusive, appears Biblical, but at the core of it it is hiding the real issue at hand – injustice.”
We are at the very border/edge at the moment of the protection of God – there is a very real warning of urgency of falling away or being left behind or ‘lost forever’ if people don’t awaken to the truth in this hour. Am I referring to salvation? For some, perhaps. Am I referring to missing the greatest move of God in this era and therefore the opportunity to partner with Him as the true Bride of Christ takes her place throughout the earth? Absolutely. Regarding the parable of the lost sheep, my lost child represents the most vulnerable – both salvation and those discriminated against. The line has been drawn in the sand, not just ‘all lives’ vs ‘black lives’ but in so many different ways. Eyes are being opened in this hour, deception is being exposed, truth is being unveiled, yet we have to have eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart that is soft and open to perceive. There has never been a greater need for new wineskins. The ways of God are proving to offend those who don’t have new wineskins, and if we are too hard-hearted or too stuck in our human beliefs and opinions or our old ways, we will absolutely miss the move of God at this pertinent time.
THE LAST CHANCE:
The way God is moving now and will increasingly move in the future will undoubtably cause a great falling away before the Great Harvest. How? Offence. Offence at how the Holy Spirit moves in this time, offence towards His methods, offence towards His messengers, offence towards His message, offence towards His miracles and His majesty that will be on display in this era and beyond. Offence is what is going to divide His people, His Church.
There cannot be any more complacency in this hour – it cannot wait until tomorrow. We cannot slumber now. We cannot let the darkness stop us from unveiling the truth behind the deception. It cannot wait until the morning. It will be too late, souls will be lost in the deception, darkness and evil by then. The most unexpected believers are living in complacency right now, and choosing to slumber instead of allowing the proddings and promptings of the Holy Spirit to keep them awake. There is a line in the sand. We are either all in or all out, there is no more tip-toeing the line anymore. No more casual Christianity. No more comfortable ‘faith’ walks. No more silence due to fear of man. Some are at the very border of His protection right now and in an hour of absolute, last chance, final opportunity and absolute urgency. We cannot fall asleep, we cannot slumber or wait until another time, it is now or never.
“There is no more tip-toeing the line anymore. No more casual Christianity. No more comfortable ‘faith’ walks. No more silence due to fear of man.”
We cannot allow fear to overwhelm our hearts as we hear this, but we must acknowledge that this is His grace! This is His goodness! This is His love and mercy offering us an opportunity – yet another opportunity – to have our spiritual eyes opened, our spiritual hearing tuned in more acutely to His voice, our discernment refined, to have the deception exposed and the truth unveiled in this hour. Don’t fall for the enemies tactics. The spirit of religion takes Biblical truths and tweaks them by 1°. It appears virtuous, it appears holy, but as it grows that 1° turns it into a completely different direction – far from truth in the end. And we will find ourselves far from the move of God and realise that while we believed we were doing the right thing, we actually came up against the very thing that He was doing. My friends – my brothers and sisters – we cannot allow this to happen!
“We will realise that while we believed we were doing the right thing, we actually came up against the very thing that He was doing.”
Please hear the heart of God in all of this: this is NOT to condemn if we have held to the ‘all lives matter’ statement. Of course all lives matter – the is the heart of God! It’s this very truth that exposes the extent of the reality of just how much black lives don’t matter in this world right now. ‘ALL lives matter’ is the very measure by which we realise how much black lives don’t actually matter. THIS IS THE INJUSTICE. This is not condemnation – it is an invitation to see the truth for what it is – not just a political or racial issue – but so much more than that – an invitation to perceive that deception within the Church is rife right now, because we are embarking on the dawn of a new day, a great and mighty move of God that is going to change and transform the true Bride forever. But the old injustices have to be dealt with first in order for God to build on a firm foundation – the great harvest requires a purged and purified Bride to save the souls of the world into. We must be so on guard right now to not allow the enemy’s tactics to blind us to what is really going on. We CANNOT partner with offence! We must NOT allow ourselves to get offended! We must continually check our hearts, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to us and to increase our discernment and open our eyes, ears and heart to truly see, hear and perceive. We must be open and surrendered in order to adjust our perspectives. Align our hearts and minds to His truth. Awaken from our spiritual slumber. Arise at this critical hour.
“Deception within the Church is rife right now, because we are embarking on the dawn of a new day, a great and mighty move of God that is going to change and transform the true Bride forever.”
To combat this injustice at this time He is requiring us to empathise with His people who need Him to intervene in justice more than ever right now. To join Him in the heartbreak of His heart towards the oppressed of our day and age. It requires alignment: we must repent and change direction. Don’t worry, we won’t look like fools if we suddenly swing the other direction – we cannot don’t let pride prevent us from partnering with the truth. It’s called growth. Humility. Wisdom. Transformation.
The key to this is that we have to see the real agenda going on here: the enemy is trying to deceive and keep blind through pride, strongholds etc but God’s agenda is about bringing justice to the oppressed and unveiling His truth. He is graciously extending an invitation to us all in this time. The spirit of religion has blinded people to God’s truth and His biblical mandate of love and protection of those who live in injustice.
“God’s agenda is about bringing justice to the oppressed and unveiling His truth.”
It’s about injustice. Bringing justice to the places that are out of alignment. One of those areas is the injustice towards people of colour. For too long the biggest hindrance has been the pride and offence of the privileged and the enemy has kept many blinded in deception toward this very realisation. We are called to embrace and extend empathy, understanding, compassion. For those of us who live with a level of justice – fairness, privilege even – we are called to STEWARD what we have been given for the greater good of all around us. Who will benefit from that the most? The most under-privileged, the most discriminated against, the most at risk. As the balances of justice are realigned, those on the polar extremities will be the ones whose lives are transformed the most. Justice within the Church has been turned political. We are too scared to fight for blatant Biblical truths anymore because of the fear of man and the spirit of religion down-playing the role of basic justice declaring that it is not as essential as other Biblical pursuits.
“We are too scared to fight for blatant Biblical truths anymore because of the fear of man and the spirit of religion down-playing the role of basic justice.”
But God’s Word declares His heart for justice and His mandate for us to see it come to pass in this world if we are truly His people. He doesn’t want our outside facade, He wants our inward hearts, He doesn’t want white washed walls He wants our broken vessels to carry His glory. He doesn’t want our sacrifices and out outward appearance of religion, He wants us to care for the poor, the oppressed, to do good, seek justice, correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless and plead the widows cause (Isaiah 1:11-17).
““Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the judgment of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God. ‘Why have we fasted, and you see it not? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you take no knowledge of it?’ Behold, in the day of your fast you seek your own pleasure, and oppress all your workers. Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight and to hit with a wicked fist. Fasting like yours this day will not make your voice to be heard on high. Is such the fast that I choose, a day for a person to humble himself? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord? “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.” Isaiah 58:1-12 ESV
Jesus came to set the captives free and it is our commission, call and command to join with Him in this ministry.
“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read. And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”” Luke 4:16-19 ESV
We don’t see Jesus healing the sick and then we cry out “What about the healthy?” We don’t see Jesus deliver the captives and we respond with “What about the liberated?” We don’t see Jesus give sight to the blind and we retort “What about those with clear vision?” We don’t see Jesus comfort the poor and we say “What about the affluent?” We don’t see Jesus bringing justice to the oppressed and we complain “What about the free?” Instead, our response is always to join in union with His divine justice coming to those who need it and we make it our mandate to partner with and activate the will of God on earth, throughout His Kingdom.
The Church cannot keep silent anymore. We can no longer turn a blind eye. We cannot pretend to love and care with the heart of God when we blatantly ignore some of the biggest injustices right within the very midst of us. It’s time. The line is in the sand. It’s time to take a stand.
“The Church cannot keep silent anymore. We can no longer turn a blind eye. The line is in the sand. It’s time to take a stand.”
